Expansion to Florida is Fueled by Client Demand and Attractive Growth Environment Across Real Estate, Estate Planning and Corporate Practices
Varnum is pleased to announce the opening of its Naples, Florida office. Located in the Fifth Third Center at 999 Vanderbilt Beach Road, the office is led by real estate partner Tom Forster. Buoyed by a strong existing client base and a favorable business climate, Varnum’s Naples office is well-positioned for long-term growth.
“Establishing a presence in Florida is a natural extension for us, given our strong client base in the region,” said Varnum Chair Ron DeWaard. “We are optimistic about our continued growth, both in terms of new clients and of attorneys who wish to join a progressive and growing firm.”
Varnum Executive Partner Scott Hill noted that the firm has a significant number of business and corporate clients based in the state as well as individuals who have either retired to or winter in the southwest Florida area. With nearly a dozen Florida-licensed attorneys providing a variety of business and personal legal services, the firm has been serving clients in the state for many years.
“In addition to serving existing clients in Naples, we are excited about the opportunity to further our presence and visibility in southwest Florida,” Hill said. “It is a growth market and the opportunities in key areas such as real estate, corporate, finance, and emerging technologies are a great fit for our firm.”
The firm’s Naples office is led by real estate and corporate partner Thomas W. Forster and includes HOA, condominium and estate planning attorney Steven Adamczyk and associate Gerardo Ortega. Both Adamczyk and Ortega recently joined Varnum from leading Florida firms.
Forster, a real estate and corporate attorney with a strong national practice, said he is gratified by the confidence the firm had in him to open the office and excited about the firm’s presence in Florida.
“It’s been very fulfilling to not only launch the Naples office, but to see a strong response from the business community from day one,” Forster said. “I’m happy to be here, proud of the work we’re doing and looking forward to continued growth and new opportunities.”
