Varnum Welcomes 10 New Associates to the Firm

Varnum is pleased to announce the addition of 10 new associate attorneys including Cole Anderson, Mariah DeHoop, Brady Diller, Isaac Houskamp, Charlotte Jolly, Dilan Kama, Silas Kok, Kathleen Lok, Julia Moran and Schuyler Pruis.

Cole Anderson graduated from Wayne State University Law School where he was the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Business Law, participated in Mock Trial and worked as a Teaching Assistant. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and is based in the Grand Rapids office.

Mariah DeHoop graduated from Indiana University Maurer School of Law and worked as a fellow at the Center for Constitutional Democracy, participated in the Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition and contributed to the Indiana Journal of Constitutional Design. She attended Central Michigan University for her undergraduate degree and is based in the Grand Rapids office.

Brady Diller graduated from Washington University School of Law where he received the Scholar in Law Award and earned a Certificate in Business Law. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and is located in the Grand Rapids office.

Isaac Houskamp graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School and was the Executive Noted Editor for the Michigan Business and Entrepreneurial Law Review and was a Dean’s Scholar. He also earned a Certificate of Merit in Contract Law and Honors in Legal Practice. Isaac received his undergraduate degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. He is based in the Grand Rapids office.

Charlotte Jolly graduated cum laude from Wayne State University Law School and was Co-Director of In-House Competitions on the Moot Court Executive Board and a member of the Women’s Law Caucus. She also was a student attorney in Wayne Law’s legal aid clinic where she provided immigration services to low-income immigrants. She attended Michigan State University for her undergraduate degree and is located in the Novi office.

Dilan Kama graduated cum laude from Wayne State University Law School and interned for the Honorable Thomas L. Ludington of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. He also was the Senior Articles Editor for the Wayne Law Review, a Student Attorney for the Wayne Law Business Clinic, a member of the Sports & Entertainment Law and Business Law groups, and Treasurer of the Catholic Law Students Association. Dilan received his undergraduate degree from Wayne State University and works in the Birmingham office.

Silas Kok graduated magna cum laude from the University of Notre Dame Law School and was Senior Proof Editor of the Notre Dame Law Review, Vice President of the Environmental Law Society and received Faculty Awards in Real Estate Transactions, Commercial Real Estate, Federal Income Taxation and Cybercrime. He received his undergraduate degree from Westmont College and is based in the Grand Rapids office.

Kathleen Lok graduated from the University of Michigan Law School and was a member of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association and OUTlaws, as well as Associate Editor of the Michigan Journal of Environmental Law & Administrative Law. She attended the University of Southern California for her undergraduate degree and works in the Ann Arbor office.

Julia Moran graduated summa cum laude from Michigan State University College of Law and was a member of MSU Law’s Moot Court Competition Team, International Law Review, National Inn of Court and Board of Advocates. She also was a member of Phi Alpha Delta International Fraternity and the 21st Amendment Society. Julia received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and is based in the Birmingham office.

Schuyler Pruis graduated magna cum laude from Wake Forest University School of Law and was the Symposium Editor of the Wake Forest Journal of Law and Policy, Associate Chief Justice of the Moot Court Board, President of the Environmental Law Society and an Educator on the Honor Council Board. He attended Calvin University where he received his undergraduate degree and is based in the Grand Rapids office.
