Attorney Edward Gusky has joined the Varnum Real Estate Practice Team. He is based in the firm’s Novi office.
Gusky has significant experience in real estate development, transactional and finance law. He represents developers in acquisitions, sales, leasing and sophisticated financing transactions, as well as lenders, primarily in commercial real estate loans.
Gusky brings extensive knowledge in representing borrowers in connection with multifamily loans insured by HUD/FHA under Sections 221(d)(4) and 223(f) of the National Housing Act, and Section 232 Healthcare Facility Insurance Program. He also serves as lead counsel on complex M&A transactions, including sophisticated stock and asset sales involving simultaneous multi-corporation closings.
Gusky is a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School and also received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan. He began his legal career at Bloomfield Hills-based Evans & Luptak P.L.C. Most recently, he was a partner at Kotz Sangster, where he led the firm’s real estate practice group.
