Varnum attorney Schuyler Pruis has joined the Camp Henry Board of Directors, and Jordan Valentine has become an Ann Arbor community board member of Ele’s Place.
Camp Henry, established in 1937, is a summer camp in Newaygo, Michigan, dedicated to providing life-changing experiences for campers aged 8-17. Pruis spent three summers working at Camp Henry as a counselor and looks forward to giving back to an organization that has played a large role in shaping him into who he is today.
Pruis is based in the Grand Rapids office and specializes in business and transactional matters as part of the Business and Corporate Practice Team. He helps clients navigate mergers and acquisitions, advises emerging companies and works with private and family-owned businesses to provide strategic and practical legal advice on a variety of business law issues. His practice also includes providing guidance on corporate governance and structuring issues, securities law compliance and other regulatory issues.
Valentine has joined Ele’s Place’s Ann Arbor Community Board, a non-profit that provides healing centers for grieving children, teens, young adults and their families across Michigan. By leveraging her network within the Washtenaw Community, Valentine hopes to share this resource with more young people coping with loss.
As a member of Varnum’s Litigation and ADR Practice Team based in the firm’s Ann Arbor office, Valentine focuses on shareholder disputes, breach of contract cases, real estate zoning disputes and regulatory compliance. She represents clients throughout the litigation process, including hearings, depositions, trials and appellate proceedings.
