Varnum is pleased to announce that partner Michael Wooley has been appointed to the Michigan Health and Hospital Association (MHA) Human Resources and Workforce Council for a one-year term.
The MHA Human Resources and Workforce Council is dedicated to advancing the mission of the MHA and the role of HR leaders in the health care sector. The council provides critical input on legislative and regulatory issues pertinent to health care employers, including diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, workplace safety, and workforce development. Additionally, the council offers networking and educational opportunities for HR professionals, disseminates best practices, and collects and reports data related to hospital and health system workforce metrics.

Wooley is a noted speaker on immigration-related health care topics. Among other organizations, he has been an invited speaker for the Michigan Recruitment and Retention Network, the Michigan Primary Care Association and the Michigan Center for Rural Health. He possesses a broad understanding of global immigration trends, enabling him to guide clients with international operations through the intricacies of cross-border mobility.
